2017 Plans

Happy New Year! May 2017 be a amazingly wonderful year with many great memories. Each year there is something about a new year that makes me excited. The idea of new things to come and making the most of the time you have.  I'm looking forward to see what 2017 brings. Here’s to a safe, a little bit naughty...ok a whole lot of naughty and most importantly a fun filled year.

As usual, I'm feeling lots of anticipation for 2017. Very excited about the opportunities that are coming.

This year I am reaffirming my one main plan from which all the others flow out. The main plan:

Main Plan:

- Write.

2017 Plans:
– Get at least 2 books contracted
– Continue to Self/Indie-publish some series
– Have at least 3 books released
– Keep writing

Get ready for a sizzling year. :) With loads of fun and books to read!

2016 Plans – Review

Last year I posted my plans for 2016. Today at the last day of this year I'm reviewing my plans to see how I did. :)

As usual, I'm feeling lots of anticipation for 2017. Very excited about the opportunities that are coming.

Plan Status: Accomplished. I wrote many books last year.

2016 Plans:

– Get at least 2 books contracted
Plan Status: Not Accomplished.

– Continue Self/Indie-publish some series
Plan Status: Accomplished. :)

– Have at least 3 books released
Plan Status: Accomplished. :) Released 5 books this year.

– Keep writing
Plan Status: Accomplished. I wrote and wrote so many books.

Reviewing how I did on my plan helps me see what I did this year. I’m happy & proud of what I accomplished this year. How did you do for your 2016 plans?

My 1st Keurig Memory...

Opened the Keurig my big sis got for me for Christmas. For more on what I mean go here and here.

Used it for the 1st time and made some tea. I went with the Lemon and Ginger from the pic of k-cups I had. It was delicious. And I had my first moment that has become a memory. I thought of last year this time with my family and about this year that although we are not geologically in same location we are in each other’s thoughts and hearts.

For my 1st cup I used my St. Thomas mug my brother-in-law gave me this summer. :) Now I need to think of a name for my Keurig (As mentioned before I name my gadgets. Don’t you? Stop looking at me weird.). Off to drink my tea and think of names.

Update on Keurig & Memory...

So...Keurig update (check post here for what I mean). Made it through yesterday. Hmmm...lookie at these I wonder if I will make it .

A little back-story on Keurig. Last year on my trip (went to St. Thomas after my Hawaiian cruise) during holidays to see my big sis, brother, brother in law and whole lot of family was such a wonderful time & memories. One of those memories is of two Keurig’s. My big sis had bought one for herself for Christmas & asked me to set it up (I’m the go to for stuff like this in my family). I was confused since she didn’t drink coffee & whenever I heard Keurig mentioned it was about coffee. She told me there's tea, cider & even soups...mind was blown & I wanted one. She was like damn she wish she'd known. Big sis also gotten one for my brother & when we went to his place for Christmas we opened it (I set that up to). We shared hot beverages of our choice, laughed, played Uno & made memories using a Keurig for the 1st time.

Fast forward to this holiday. I'd planned to be there but due to some stuff at day job I couldn’t. She sent me a Keurig & I know my sister & she had planned to give me the Keurig this year when I came home for the holiday but instead had it shipped to me so I had it for holiday. My family believes in moments that make memories so I know she did this because of that memory from last year. This year I'm alone (my nephew flew out to join them for holiday) she wanted me to have that memory this year. I'll open the Keurig & think of her as I have my first cup . When I call them tomorrow I'll be having a cup (ref pic) & they will too. We'll have another memory for this year.

It’s not about the Keurig but what it represents-moment with my family, that is now treasured memory.

I know you spotted the coffee in my various K-cups. I don’t usually drink coffee but...caramel is my weakness so gonna try this. Can’t wait. So tick tock to opening the Keurig & making more memories.

Today is my birthday and I’m celebrating it spending time with my family. I’ll be building some more memoires and getting into a whole lot of mischief. :)

Today as I reflect on my past birthdays they all have something in common. Memories of time spent with family, friends and those I care about. It’s those memories that fill me with such joy each moment of my life.

Today is a milestone birthday! I’m so appreciative to have this birthday and each one I have had. Life is a journey and you never know where it will take you and where you will end up. In my life there has been so many memories- great, bad and all the in betweens—and each has shaped me to who I am today. I hope to have many more birthdays and moments.

I want to say that I appreciate each and every one of you. In life you meet many people along your journey and when you do they all change you in some way. My life is richer having met all of you and for that I thank you. Thank you for your support and for your caring. And for just being you. Life is precious and the people in them are even more so. So today have a drink, piece of cake and come on to celebrate with me.

Weird first part of year...

Up early and was thinking of the year I've had so far. Hurt leg in Jan when slipped on some ice. Months in physical therapy. Got better then after my trip in April I reinjured the same leg not once but twice so back to therapy. Sigh. It's been a weird few months. :(

Now spent the last few days getting back on track. :) Have so much planned for the rest of the year.  :) Hoping the rest of year will be awesome.

Back and plans....

Haven't been around much online. A few months ago I slipped on some ice and hurt my leg. I was in alot of pain. After getting it checked I was given treatment for it. For the last few months I've been in physical therapy. So between treatment for my leg and the day job I've been really tired. With this I've had to delay some plans I had. :(

But awesome news is I'm much better now. :) I was determined to get stronger. And with the RT Convention approaching I wanted to be close to fully better. Not there yet but I'm ready for the fun. :) Now I'm back.... so time to get those plans going.

One of the things that was delayed was my releasing The Best Gift (Zander Oaks, Book # 2) and If You Were Mine (Zander Oaks, Book # 3). I'll be posting the new release date for those books soon. Will be posting about that and some other things I have planned in my newsletter and Crenshaw Cafe (facebook group) soon. Then everywhere else after.

Have so much planned for the rest of the year. :)

2015 Vacation Fun

Finally posting about my vacation. I’m also doing the same post on my other blogs .

In December 2015 I took the longest vacation I ever had — over 3 weeks. My vacation was 2 parts.

For the 1st part I fulfilled one of my bucket list items by taking a trip to Hawaii. Yay! I went to Hawaii at took a 7 day cruise and on that cruise I was with my family by choice. I have a good friend who became my family by heart and the rest of her family basically adopted me as their own. And my own family by blood adopted my friend and her family. So we became an even bigger family. So I went on holiday with them some of them. Like my own blood family she has a large family. This trip there was 10 of us that went. And we had a blast in Hawaii.



It took me some time to get my sea legs so I walked sideway like I’m drunk. It was suggested I get drunk then I’d be walking straight. LOL.

The view is great and although pic isn’t what I’m seeing it is close. Writing to that view is amazing.

Had so much fun on my cruise. And got plot ideas. :) The ocean breeze was so relaxing.

One of our excursions was Laua. The show they had was beautiful. Loved the fire dancers.



And some other dancing. They move so fast.

After a really sucky airplane ride which ended with them destroying my suitcase which made everything wet since apparently it was raining. Yeah I was pissed and they heard it too. I let that go and enjoyed my time with my family.

On the second part of my trip I went Home - St. Thomas, USVI. for the holidays I went home – St. Thomas, USVI. I enjoyed spending time with my family (by blood). It was so awesome spending time with them. We laughed, ate and teased. Had a blast.



We played Uno which is one of our favorite games. And I schooled my family once again by being the Uno queen and beating them. If they tell you different they are big fat liars. :)

And that was a wrap to my wonderful trip. I’m glad I got to check off one of my bucket list items by going to Hawaii. And spending time with my family for holidays was a great end to 2015. :)

Adventures in snow

When I tell people because in my area the snowplow usually doesn’t come by at all and since it does not and I need to get out I have to brave the snow. When I tell people that I become Wonder Woman so I can get off my block do I can go do errands or to my day job they don’t believe me. When I say I have to climb over a heaping snow to get off the block to get to go anywhere they say uh huh. I also tell them if they see YouTube video of woman climbing over snow bank with butt in air that is me. So here is proof of my Wonder Woman skills.

Now you see it! I am Wonder Woman…ok I’m not a masterful athlete. But I sure get over that snow bank. And it takes some major fighting skills so the mean snow bank doesn’t defeat me. The WONDER WOMAN OF SNOW hear me roar.



I'm lulling you into a false sense. This is not my snowbank. It is still untouched and pure. I might do that one today as I leave. Be the first to mess it up. :)

Holy Snow!

Holy Snow! I’m hunkering down inside and watching on TV. Wow we are snowed in. :) Boy I’m glad I don’t have anywhere to go. Be safe everyone.

Much Needed Hug...

Went out to grab something quickly and ran into someone I know. Was saying hello when her little boy came up to me and gave me a big hug...I didn't know how much I really needed a hug. It's been a long day. I hugged him back.

Now headed back to work and I'm energized by that hug. :)

Go and give someone a hug they might need one. To all of you from me *bigggggg hugggggs*

Allergic to day job

Feeling almost human. Got hit with a nasty bug last week. This made me realize something important. Yep very important.

I’m allergic to working my day job. And my proof is 1 week after going back to work from vacation I got sick. :) And I go back to work tomorrow. Hmmm…time to fill up on the vitamins or maybe win the lotto.

Weekly Wrap-Up – Back into the groove and need a household genie…

This week has been interesting . Getting back into the groove of my every day after vacation. Since I was off for over 3 weeks I feel out of practice with work. LOL.

It was great being on vacation. I relaxed so much. I'll be posting about my trip sometime next week. Now I’m back and oh my it’s cold and since I was a warm climate I am feeling it this year.

Now I’m back almost a week I’m ready to dive into well…regular stuff. And there is stuff. My house after being away there is dust everywhere. So cleaning is in my part of my weekend plans. Yeah I hate dusting but I hate seeing dust more. LOL. Besides that I need to do a bunch of other household chores. I wish there was a household genie that could do it. That would be so cool. :)

If you find a household genie please please send them my way.

Building Memories

The last few weeks I’ve been on vacation. The longest one I’ve ever taken in years. This vacation is also different because I planned to take two trips during the time. I’ve had such an enjoyable time on both.

For the first part of my vacation, I took it with my family that is by choice. Over the years, I’ve become very close to a friend who along with her siblings have become family to me. We took a seven-day cruise to Hawaii. It was wonderful. The sights of Hawaii are something that I will never forget. The food was great especially the fruit. But it’s the camaraderie and fun I had with my family by choice that made this trip what it was. It wouldn’t have been as wonderful without them there with me. So I added more memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

The second part of my trip I went home. No matter where I live now I will always call where I was originally born —home. I went to spend the holidays with my family by blood. Whenever I fly into St. Thomas (where I was born and raised), I get a little teary-eyed. As I mentioned it was coming home. As I landed, I was irritated from a bad plane ride for my trip but eager and excited to see my family. This trip was special because it was the first time in a long time I was home for Christmas. I yelled that too. I love being home for the holidays. There is nothing like a Christmas at home. I’ve had such an awesome time and again made some memories that will last me the rest of my life.

I’ve talked many times about memories and appreciating them. This trip was chock full of moments that are now memories that I took time to enjoy. For this holiday season, I built memories.
