Between the Covers - Perfect Fit
Here is a excerpt from Perfect Fit (Singleton, Book # 2). Enjoy.
Regina put down her cup and stood. She strolled towards him, moving with an innate rhythm he’d always found so intoxicating. She stepped into him, pressing close. Automatically, he placed his hands on her hips.
“Had a nice sleep, Spencer.”
Although it wasn’t a question, he answered. “Yes.” He cleared his throat. “It was very restful.”
“I bet.” She studied him, then smiled. “After the show you had.”
Spencer flushed with need. “You knew I was there,” he accused.
“Yes.” Regina straightened his tie. “You said no sex, but nothing about seduction.” She patted his chest. “I like that. I’m good at it.” She rocked against him.
Spencer groaned as she moved on his erection. “Behave, Reggie.”
“You forgot ‘mis’. I’m going to behave, all right. Misbehave. I want you back in my life all the way. Not this partial way with all these rules.” Regina moved her hips again and placed her face close to his, whispering almost on his lips, “Holding out for some belief of being comfortable together is a moot point. I’ve been comfortable with you from the time we met. And even if you deny it, so have you.” She placed her palm flat on his chest, over his heart. “I know your heart and soul. And most assuredly, your body. I know what makes you shiver.”
Spencer shivered.
“What makes you groan just so.” She widened her legs and rotated.
Spencer groaned, shaking.
“And that you belong to me.” Regina grabbed his hair holding him still, her green gaze fierce. “Mine, Spence.”
She slid her hand into his hair, held him firmly and kissed him. Spencer opened wide, moaning. Regina pushed her tongue into his mouth, moving along his, stroking. Spencer gripped her hips, cupping her ass and pulling her against him. He returned her kiss with equal hunger, grunting as she rocked against him. Spencer shuddered, about ready to come in his pants. Regina wrenched away, pulling out of his hold and he stepped forward to get her back.
“Whoa, there.” She put her hand on his chest. “I made my first move. Now it’s your turn to decide what you truly want.” She stepped back, grabbed her purse and briefcase off the stool from by the kitchen island then headed past him. She touched his ass as she did, then said by his ear, “I’m looking forward to our pillow buying excursion.”
Regina chuckled as she left the room. In moments, he heard the front door close. Spencer went to the island and sat, putting his hand on the counter, then under his chin. He slumped forward.
“Damn. I really am screwed.” Spencer rubbed his hands over his eyes then lowered it as he thought of her parting words. The pillow shopping was going to be hell. Not the buying, but what came with it after.
“So screwed.” Spencer rose and went to the door to go to work.

Ink Motions with SE Babin
Bio - S.E. Babin has a passion for writing books with a paranormal twist. Whether it's romance or mystery, she loves taking the norm and turning it into the extraordinary. Her love of reading turned into a curious exploration to see whether or not she could write her own novel. Beginning with random, terrible poetry and a slightly popular reimagining of Beowulf's Grendel in her high school English class, Sheryl spent way too much time in the library, killing any chance of her becoming a cheerleader or anything even remotely cool.
Ink Motions - Interview
How do you get an idea for your novel? Everything for me start out with a “what if” question. Once I have that question, the rest just starts to roll.
What is your writing style? Do you just sit down and write or do you create? I am usually a pantser, meaning I just sit down and write whatever comes to mind. I did plot one novel out from start to finish a few months ago, though. I have to admit not plotting is much more fun. It’s like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re going to find!
Who is the "Writing Muse" in your life? I.E. who gets your juices flowing? This is a tough question. It’s not a “who,” it’s more of a what. The what is life. Over hearing a conversation in the grocery store or seeing people interact can often trigger book ideas.
How many novels have you written including all work in progresses you are currently working on? I’ve written four novels to date and I have three in progress right now.
Who is your "writing idol"? I.E. Who do you like and what is it about there writing that captures your soul? So, so many! I love Jim Butcher, Ilona Andrews, John Green, Liane Moriarty, Jill Mansell and Richelle Mead. Too many to name!
What is your favorite plot line type? I love redemption stories, and I also love rags to riches, or cowardice to heroics.
Is there any advice you can offer to anyone who would like to write? Yes, for me this is simple. Sit down, write, do it again, edit, write, repeat.
What is a good villain? I love a good villain! My favorite villains are those who are relatable. We know why he’s doing what he’s doing and we understand it. His actions might not be right, but darn if we can’t help but empathize with him.
Excerpt from The Hunt for Snow - I nodded, squared my shoulders and started walking to the devil’s house. As I stood on the porch, the smells of home cooked food and wood smoke made my stomach growl. I really couldn’t get over how much the house had surprised me. Either Rumpel was a master at illusion, or this was how he lived all the time. Maybe it was a little bit of both. I knocked on the door, surprised when it opened underneath my hand.
The inside was just as homey as the outside. Comfortably worn chairs circled the small living area. A small fire crackled cheerily in the hearth. Kitschy knickknacks littered the tables and the shelves, depictions of small town life. Very Thomas Kinkade. And very unlike the man I expected Rumpel to be. I looked into the kitchen area and saw a tall man stirring a pot. His clothes fell on his lanky frame, clean but worn.
He set the spoon down and turned to face us.
I couldn’t help it. I blinked, opened my mouth to speak, shut it, and then blinked again. Rumpelstiltskin was drop-dead gorgeous. I looked over to Belle and Cyndi and both of them had their mouths wide open.
A smirk appeared on his face. “Why is it everyone thinks I’m hideous?”
“Ummm,” I said eloquently.
He shook his head, said something under his breath, and gestured for us to sit around the large circular table in his dining room. It was made out of a dark wood, the surface scarred from years of overuse. We meekly sat down, amongst the disgusted grumblings of Robin Hood. “I swear,” he muttered under his breath, “you woman are all the same. Struck dumb at the sight of a pretty face.”
“Shut up,” I muttered in annoyance. Rumpel was not just another pretty face. He was reminiscent of an ancient warrior, an angular face highlighted with strong cheekbones, and deeply tanned. A thin white scar ran down from the side of his right eyebrow to the bottom of his lip, but it did nothing to detract from his beauty. Instead, it just enhanced it. His eyes shimmered with ancient magic, a maelstrom of pictures and images floating through them. One moment gray, the next moment a haunting tawny gold, they were the most fascinating thing about him. Jet-black hair hung around his face and settled at the tops of his shoulders.
He reached up to one of his cabinets, exposing powerful tanned arms, scarred from his upper biceps down to his lean hands. His face and body told a story of grudges and power plays and ancient feuds. He was both terrifying and gloriously beautiful.
“Stew?”
I glanced around at my friends, still struck dumb, then at Robin who was sitting at the table with his arms crossed looking pissed off at the world. I shrugged. “Yes, please. Thank you for your hospitality.”
“Do not thank me yet,” he said, his voice a deep rasp as if unused for years. “We haven’t begun to deal.” He looked over his shoulder at me, those haunting eyes seemingly piercing through my soul and unveiling my deepest secrets. “You are here to deal, yes?”
I swallowed and nodded.
“Good.” Rumpel busied himself with clattering around the kitchen and serving us up some of the stew he was making in the massive pot on the stove.
I sat there dumbly, staring at his powerful frame when Cyndi leaned over. “Close your mouth. You’ll attract flies.”
I closed it and glared at her. “You’re just as guilty,” I accused.
She smiled. “Hard to act normal around a vision like that.” Her gaze roamed over his body in a frank, appraising glance I’d never quite seen her use before.
“Stop staring at me, orphan, or I will tear your eyes right out of your head.”
Oh snap.
Cyndi’s eyes widened and a brilliant, beatific grin spread across her face. I stared at her in horror. “Freak,” I muttered.
“He likes me,” she whispered.
Blurb - Every ten years a convention is held in a neutral location where people from all the realms come together and reunite. This is no ordinary conference, though, because everyone who shows up holds a place of honor in the legends of old. But there’s one person who doesn’t care that Earth is neutral territory. The Evil Queen, Naomi, is out to settle a score, and she’s brought along one of her most talented henchman to teach the one who got away a harsh lesson.
Snow’s past is shrouded in mystery. Mild cryptozoologist by day, private investigator by night, Snow is dead set on one thing — staying far away from the Huntsman who haunts her dreams. When she shows up to the conference with her two best friends in tow, things start going awry right away. Mere minutes after arriving, they find themselves thrust back into the world they’ve tried so hard to avoid. Now, along with the help of her friends, Snow is struggling to stay one step ahead of the queen who wants to destroy her — and the Huntsman who wants to possess her at all costs.
The hunt for Snow is on. But who will find her first?

Weekend Fun...
It was and awesome weekend of laughter, fun and memories. As many of you know I'm big on moments/memories. This weekend is one I'll remember. My nephew's first Holiday season with me in NY. I can tell we'll be having loads of moments/memories. Looking forward to it.
I'm making sure to give him stuff to help him get rid of whatever he has. Hoping we can get him better before Christmas. It looks doable since he doesn't sound as bad and says he is feeling better.

Between the Covers - Devi
Here is a few lines from Devi (Kemet Uncovered, Book # 2). Enjoy.
The following afternoon, Devi lay in her hammock, enjoying the idyllic day. Her doorbell chimed and she sighed, reluctant to get up.
“It’s open,” she called out.
The familiar masculine scent that had surrounded Rhodes told her who it was before he’d even made it through the house. Turning her head, she watched him step out onto the patio.
“Kind of dangerous, don’t you think, just inviting people in without knowing who it is?” he asked, giving her a disapproving look before putting a bouquet of flowers on the table.
She almost laughed at that, but smothered it. He was concerned about her. How cute.
Today, Rhodes wore khaki slacks and a dark blue polo-necked shirt. Licking her lips, she swung her legs over and got up from the comfort of her hammock. He glanced at her and swallowed. Hard.
She knew it was her outfit. Cream-coloured gauze woven with gold threads made up her halter-top dress with its deep V-neck. Although the material reached the floor, slits in the skirt ran up to the tops of her thighs. With each step she took, one leg flashed through. And she knew it looked good on her—hell, it had been made just for her.
“Cat got your tongue, Rhodes?”
His forehead had a sheen of sweat on it.
“No. That’s… It’s… Damn.”
“I take it that’s a good thing,” she said with an assured smile.
“Oh, yeah,” he rumbled. He flexed his fingers like he wanted to grab her.
“Thank you.”
He had to tear his gaze away from her nearly exposed chest. “What for?”
“The flowers. They’re beautiful.”
He acted as if he’d forgotten he’d even brought them. “You’re welcome,” he muttered, his gaze on her.
“Something I can do for you, Rhodes?”
“I came to ask you to dinner.” His voice still not as smooth as it had been.
“You didn’t call.”
“I wanted to see you.” His eyes burnt feverishly. “Luckily, I’m a resourceful man—you didn’t give me much to go on.”
“You are that. I knew you’d find me if you wished to see me.”
Warmth surrounded her at his admission. “I’ll go get changed.” She moved past him and headed towards the sliding door, then paused and glanced back over her left shoulder. “A little help?”
He approached and stood behind her. His size made her feel dainty and protected. Without a word, she moved her hair out of the way. Her skin tingled from the light brush of his fingertips as he undid the bow holding up her dress.
“There you go,” he whispered in her ear, his breath teasing her skin.
“Be right back.”
She let go of her hair and it swung back into place, covering her to the small of her back. He gasped as she left him there, in between indoors and out. Alone except for her dress, which had pooled at his feet.

Hunky Holidays Blog Hop...
From December 12th to 14th the NGWN is having a blog hop about what our hunky hero’s do during the holidays.
Today I’m taking you inside what my hero from Unexpected Encounter (Singleton, Book #4) does for the holidays. Driscoll Jacobs is a has an interesting ways of saying things. Here is a Snippet I wrote of how he spends his holiday. Enjoy!
Mine
A Singleton Series Snippet
By Taige Crenshaw
Driscoll snuck inside the house closing the door cautiously so as to not alert anyone of his return. He turned then stifled a curse as he almost toppled over Reggie, his Siberian husky puppy and his kitten Vere— short for Guinevere. The two animals looked up at him and surprisingly they didn’t make any noise. It confused Driscoll for a moment but he took the opportunity to continue his plan. He put his finger to his lips and walked around them then moved stealthily across the foyer to the living room. The room was awash from the light on the humongous Christmas tree. Driscoll smirked as he went to the tree and pulled out the box from the bag he held. He left the bag fall to the floor as he went to place the gift under the tree.
“I thought we said we wouldn’t buy any more gifts for each other.” A woman’s melodious voice came from his left.
Driscoll jumped and looked to where the person had spoken and immediately he went hard as he viewed his wife. Just the idea of it made him feel all giddy. He was a married man to this woman. She was his. She was lounging on the couch with hat familiar twinkle in her hazel eyes that made him want to ravish her. The kinky curls of her reddish brown hair framed her rich honey-skinned face.
“Are you trying to give me a heart attack?” Driscoll turned and went to her still holding the box.
“Now that’d be a shame since I have plans for you later.” Lila lifted and eyebrow and smiled then looked at the box he was carrying. “Dris—“
“Yes I love you too.” Driscoll knelt by the couch she was laying on.
“Don’t try to dis—”
“Make you horny. Now why wouldn’t I do that. It’s my job as your husband.” He stressed the word and smiled.
“You love calling yourself that.” Lila ran her fingers down the side of his cheek. “And damn if I don’t love hearing you say it. Makes me want to tackle you and have my way with you.”
“A tackle is a way of expressing love. Give into the feeling often and with gusto.” Driscoll grinned. “Yeah no matter how many times I’ve said that I just love the sound of it. I definitely need to put that on a t-shirt and have you wear it so I can let everyone know what it means.” He wiggled his eyebrows and laughed.
“You and your t-shirts.” Lila laughed then bit her lip before she shifted and took a box from behind her back. “Here, open this now.”
“Now what was that about buying any more gifts for each other.” Driscoll took the box then handed over the one he held. “You take this and open it now.”
Lila took it and scooted up to sit with her back pressed against the arm of the couch. Driscoll sat in the space she made moving her legs and putting them in his lap. He focused on the box and opened it. He grinned at the gold color of the fabric in the box. It was his favorite color. He took out the t-shirt and read what it said.
A tackle is a way of expressing love. Give into the feeling often and with gusto.
The image on it depicted what the shift said perfectly. Driscoll laughed and glanced at Lila. “You got me a t-shirt.”
“And you got me a nightgown.” Lila held it up to her chest as she recited what it said. “Sometimes fate gives you a kick in the teeth and you need to just pay attention.” Lila smiled softly. “Thanks.”
It was what she’d said to him during the reception for their wedding less about a month earlier. “You’re welcome.” Driscoll leaned closer. “I have my t-shirt collection which is my memories of people. So I figured I’d get you started on your own memory collection of us but make it nightshirts. Something between you and me.”
“I like the sound of that.” Lila leaned in to meet him.
They kissed gently and Driscoll pulled back slightly. “Our first Christmas together. First of many.”
“Damn skippy buddy. This is forever…and if you ever try to leave me I’m gonna hunt you down and then tie you up and make you watch as I burn all your t-shirts.”
“Woman you don’t mess with a man and his t-shirts” Driscoll kissed her on the nose.
“If it is justified I will.” Lila stared into his eyes. “So since this is our first Christmas I’ll let you get away with your overbuying of gifts for me.”
“My overbuying!” Driscoll looked at the pile of presents under and each side of the tree then back at Lila. “My gifts are on the left side of the tree. I wonder who has the right?” He teased.
“This isn’t about me.” Lila glared playfully.
“It sure as hell is.” Driscoll kissed her gently.
“You’re spoiling me.” Lila said.
“Ditto. Again I wonder who is the mysterious person who bought all the gifts on the right side of the tree?” He chuckled the studied her before speaking again. “That’s what holiday’s are for. Spoiling those you love but not with the material things. With what is important—spending time with them and creating memories each year to remember for many years to come.”
“Dris.” Her voice got husky and her breath hitched.
Driscoll shifted and she spread her legs so he could fit between them then he leaned against her. “And that’s what we’re going to do this and every holiday.”
“Yes.”
“Mine.” He growled.
He kissed her deeply and counted his holiday blessings. This woman was his and he would show her each and every day how much he loved her. They would create memories to recall and share with their future kids.

Between the Covers - Silk & Shadows
Here is a few lines from Silk & Shadows (Club Immortality, Book # 3). Enjoy.
Veronica knew there must be some reasonable explanation for them floating above the ground, but she couldn’t seem to care. The first sound of his voice curled around her in a warm embrace. Somehow, his voice came across deeper than him speaking in her thoughts. It resonated through her, making her nipples pebble and her pussy spasm.
“Do you want this, Veronica Gunn?” His voice brushed her mind.
She knew then that she’d been wrong. His voice sounded more sensual and intimate in her mind, like a caress across her bare skin. She bit her lip to stifle a whimper. Lost in his gaze, she felt every inch of him against her–his fingers laced with hers, and the sound of silk billowing in the background. She knew what she wanted, and no matter how improbable it sounded that he was an elf, she didn’t care. Need overrode everything else, and Veronica wanted, just for this night, to let go as he’d said.
“Yes.”
The sound of silk rippling became louder and more frantic. Zayne said nothing, but the pleasure gleaming in his eyes said it all. Suddenly, she felt the air rush past her, and the feel of silk brushed her skin. Shifting, she purred at the softness pressed against her back. Zayne pressed her hands back against the wall. Silk slid along her wrists. Glancing up, she saw two pieces detach from the billowing silken wall. Softly, they wrapped around her wrists and flowed down her arms. Tugging she realized they held her softly, but firmly. Strangely, she didn’t feel afraid, just extremely sexy. A hard body pressed against hers. Veronica glanced into heated icy green eyes.
Zayne leaned closer to her and covered her lips with his. Veronica stilled, expecting hunger and need. Instead, he made her weak with a tender, sensual kiss that sent her senses into overdrive. His tongue swept along her lips softly, looking for entrance. With a wanton moan she closed her eyes and opened her lips. The stroke of his tongue into her mouth was commanding. The sweet, decadent taste of him rolled over her. His scent filled her, musky and all man.
His hands ran up her arms covered by silk as he caged her between the wall and his hard body. He rubbed against her, the hard ridge of his shaft abrading her skirt. Trying to open her legs wider, she groaned, frustrated, as her skirt stopped her. Her pussy flooded with wetness. With a moan, she pulled with her hands, trying to hold him. The silk held her steady. Suckling his tongue, she growled and nipped him. His groan of approval vibrated through her. He laved his tongue along hers, setting off a pulse of sensation that went all over her body, from head to foot. Moaning harshly, she shifted against him, wanting more. She needed skin against skin. With a murmur, he pulled back. Confused at why he was stopping, she opened her eyes. The hunger in his gaze made her breath catch.

Between the Covers – Wilde Rapture
Here is a few lines from Wilde Rapture (Wilde, Book # 2). Enjoy.
“How did you find me? What are you doing here?” she snapped.
“I Googled you and found out what precinct you worked out of. Imagine my surprise that you were only a few blocks away from Wilde Hotel. As for why I’m here… I’m an old-fashioned man who likes to say goodbye to my bed partners.” Darius’ tone was mild.
“It was just sex. Just last night. I thought you understood that. No morning after and all that needed.” She ran her fingers through the back of her hair.
Darius reached up and took her hand. He held it in his. With his other, he raised her face and looked her in the eyes.
“I did understand, and I agreed to it for the night. But, in case you didn’t realise, it’s morning. So the night is past. And now I want you to stop running and think about this.”
He kissed her. All thoughts fled from her head. His kiss was soft and more devastating than if he had ravished her. That she could have handled and dismissed. The tenderness unravelled her. Holding her against his solid frame, he seduced her with a kiss. Made her forget all else but being in his arms. Nia sighed, moulding her body to his. Darius made a pleased sound and continued his sensual assault.
Nia gripped his shoulders, moaning. His fingers smoothed under her breasts, making them ache for him to taste them. They hadn’t got to that last night. She wanted him to bite them and suck them until they were sore and well used. Darius pulled back, hands laced loosely around her waist. His blue eyes were possessive and tender. Her pussy flooded even more at the look.
“We don’t even know anything about each other,” she whispered.
“Then get to know me. Be with me, Nia. The choice is yours. Next time you come by, plan on spending the night again. This time, bring a bag so you don’t have to rush away to get ready for work,” he said.
“That isn’t the reason I left,” she admitted.
“I know.” A small smiled curled his lips.
“You make me lose sense. I don’t like it,” she snarled.
“Ditto,” he countered.
Nia paused, biting the inside of her cheek. Darius raised one hand and gently rubbed it against her cheek, stopping her. She turned her head and kissed his palm. He went still. Nia glanced at him. Darius’ eyes were brimming with emotion. She lowered her gaze, not sure what was happening between them.
“When you’re ready, come to me,” he whispered.
Darius released her. Nia raised her head and frowned at his retreating figure.
“Why do I always have to come to you?” she yelled.
He turned to face her, walking backwards. “Because this time it’s your turn.”
Nia scowled. He was right, damn him. If she thought about it, in the alcove he had come to her. Then she had gone to him last night. Now, today, he had come to her. The next move would be hers.

Interview
How do you get an idea for your novel?
I have a dozen ideas or more on the go at all times. Ideas can come from anywhere, but lately I've been getting a lot of them from music. Sometimes a certain song will start a scene in my mind and it'll just progress from there. It's not the words, it's more of the mood. I also draw a lot from real historical events, strange history, and funny details I find that stick in my mind. Tyburn came from a nightmare I had.
What is your writing style?
My writing style is a bit all over the place. The ideas come at weird times and I have little notebooks hidden everywhere. Some of them are just filled with Post-Its from when I have an idea (or ten) and can't find a notebook. I don't have a set time for brainstorming -- the ideas usually come during the most awkward times and there's no point in trying to schedule them. I get so many ideas when I'm in the shower that my husband actually bought me a pack of bathtub crayons just in case! As for the scenes themselves, I write in the afternoons, but I have to be in the right place mentally (or wrong place, depending on how you look at it...) before I start. When a scene's going to be good, I feel like I'm already in it. I'll stare at the kettle for ten minutes before I remember I was going to make tea. I completely lose track of time when I’m writing and forget to do really normal things like to eat or turn on the light, and I try not to stop before a scene is done.
Who is the "Writing Muse" in your life?
I don't think there's just one. I am very lucky to have a lot of wonderful friends, and sometimes pieces of them will come through. The character of Mark developed out of a speech pattern I overheard. Certain people have been hugely influential and they will pop up in some elements and little tributes. My grandmother, in particular, appreciates the gruesome, and every time a heroine says something wildly inappropriate, that's for her. More than anyone, I have my husband to thank/blame for so much of it, and not just the heroes. He's extremely supportive and is so great to bounce ideas off of. Again, music is probably the single most helpful thing for me at the moment, and I also use Pinterest to put together little idea boards for future stories and characters.
How many novels have you written including all work in progresses you are currently working on?
Tyburn is the first one to be published, and the next three books in the Southwark Saga are all in varying stages of completion. I have twelve books and two series in the planning stages (mostly scribbled on those Post-Its…).
Who is your "writing idol"?
Do I have to pick just one? I love Judith Merkle Riley's historicals for the care she put into the detail, the slightly off-kilter characters, and the subtle humor that manages to make me laugh out loud every time. I love Leopold von Sacher-Masoch for his passion, Nabokov for his empathy, and Zola and Poe for their atmosphere. As for contemporaries, Chuck Palahniuk for his pace and voice, and George R.R. Martin for his characterization.
What is your favorite plot line type?
I like a plot with lots of threads, complex characters, and love stories I believe. It's not enough for me that a hero is hot -- I really want to get under his skin, to know what he's living for. I want know what books he reads. I like plots with dark themes and an element of suspense, and I like them to be long with detail you can bathe in. If I'm reading for the sake of escapism, I really want to escape!
Is there any advice you can offer to anyone who would like to write?
Just do it. Don't be put off by how much time it takes, and don't fight it. The time will pass anyway, and you'll still be obsessed. Write what you can when you can. It doesn't have to be perfect right away, and you don't have to devote 100% of your life to it, but it's better to have a scribbled a note or two than nothing at all. Also, write for yourself -- don't think about anybody else at this stage, just write the book that you want to read. Someone else out there will want to read it, too.
What is a good villain?
A good villain isn't a villain at all. Sure, they can do horrible things, but you have to understand why they're doing them and what made them that way. Also keep in mind that they don't know they're the villain -- they probably think everything they're doing is perfectly rational and justified. Put yourself in their shoes and try to like them.

Between the Covers – Power of Instinct
Here is a excerpt from Power of Instinct (Blackstone Haven, Book # 2). Enjoy.
“Ian!” she screamed.
“No need to shout. I’m in here.” Ian’s voice came from her living room.
“What is Einstein doing with McGee and Reid? Heck, what is your whole animal farm doing with them? You—” Sinai stepped into the living room, then stopped.
She walked over and examined the big screen TV that took up the whole wall between her two bay windows. There was a lot of space between them, meaning that was a whole lot of TV. She had heard tales of Ian’s TV from her various family members and friends who went to his house to watch games or a movie. Sinai took a breath, trying to be calm.
“What’s going on?” she asked slowly as she turned to Ian.
He was leaning back on her couch, his arms behind his head and his crossed legs extended before him. Her gaze dropped, taking in how his jeans cupped his cock and encased his legs. Heat flooded her. She shifted.
“Since I’m moving in until after your birthday, I’ll need my things.”
Sinai blinked, sure she had heard him wrong. She shook her head. Ian nodded, a smug smile on his face.
“Hell, no!” Sinai roared.
She smacked away the soap. Ian’s hand flashed up, and he caught it. He stood in a lazy motion then walked in a loose-legged gait. Sinai’s heart started to race. She felt as if she was being stalked. She stood her ground as Ian walked right up to her.
He leant down and said softly, “Don’t test me, Nai.”
“You’re not moving in here. It’s not necessary,” she insisted.
Ian’s eyes dilated, then he said in a low tone, “Are you challenging me?”
Sinai raised her head. “On this I am.”

Between the Covers - Burning Touch
Here is a few lines from Burning Touch (Club Immortality, Book # 2). Enjoy.
Fire raced down his spine, making him shiver.
Kariati looked over his shoulder.
His breath left him in a rush. He turned away from the door, captivated by the dancing woman. She was lush full figured temptation. Hungrily he took in her bountiful breasts, voluptuous curves and shapely legs. She turned away from him on her high-heeled, caramel-coloured boots. Kariati raised his hand to his mouth and bit his knuckle to stifle a whimper. His mouth watered with the need to lick across her plump rounded ass.
He took a step towards her. The woman turned to face him. She stopped and stared. Closing the distance between them Kariati reached for her with his senses. Shocked, he watched the woman, a human woman, who had captured all his senses. Reaching her, he memorised her delectable honey-toned face, her satiny forehead, rich chocolate brown eyes with sexy lashes, sculptured cheeks, luscious lips, and round chin. The combination was an enticement he was powerless to resist. Leaning into the woman, he inhaled. Her sweet, musky arousal filled his senses. Silent, he pulled her to him. The woman came to him. Swivelling his hips, he felt her body against his. A harsh breath escaped the sensual vixen who had captured him in her thrall. Countering his movement, he held her hips. The woman followed his motions moving against his rapidly hardening erection.
He raised a hand and lifted her long braided dark reddish brown hair from her shoulder. Still moving in time with the music, Kariati lifted the edge of her braid to his cheek and stroked it along his face. He purred at the silkiness against his skin. The woman moaned softly. He put one hand behind her back, pulling her closer to him and smiled.
Halle took a breath. His heady masculine scent cloyed around her, invading her senses. When she had seen the man by the door watching her, she’d been ensnared by his powerful presence. Even from across the room, she had felt his eyes on her almost like a physical touch. He strode towards her with a confident arrogance she had found intoxicating. Each step was like a sexual movement that made her pussy pulse with wetness, preparing for his taking. The closer he came the more she wanted to be in his arms. It wasn’t until he was closer that she saw his face. She’d locked her knees to keep from falling. His sun-kissed skin made her tongue ache to lick every part she could. His thick curly lashes framed his intense blue-green gaze. The hunger in his eyes had almost brought her to her knees. Harsh planes of desire had carved his perfectly put together features—broad forehead, chiselled cheeks, lush lips and slightly pointed chin—into a savage look.
When he had partially closed his eyes and inhaled, she had gone weak. His forceful grip had kept her standing. Her pussy creamed even more at the brush of his hands on her ass. Halle had been powerless to do anything but move in time with the wanton sway of his hips. The length of his cock had rubbed against her slacks, burning a trail of heat. Cuddling into his hard masculine body she noted how they fit together. At her height of six feet it was hard to find a man who was so much taller than her. It created a feeling of fragile feminine awareness she had never experienced before. He had taken her braid and stroked it against his face. She moaned at the purr that rumbled out of his massive chest. His hot hand cupped her back, holding her close.
Reaching up, she grabbed his inky black hair. Whatever held it gave way and his hair covered her fingers. Staring into his eyes she stood on tiptoe and sealed her lips to his. The man’s decadent chuckle filled her mouth.
So soft. His lips are so soft. Murmuring she leaned into him.

Between the Covers – Firestorm Encounters
Here is a excerpt from Firestorm Encounters (Phoenix Intelligence Agency, Book # 5). Enjoy.
Fyodor felt her appear in his house. He slid the chicken onto the plate and set it on the counter before retrieving another plate and starting to fill it.
“Something smells good,” Kaitya said.
“I hope so—after all, I slaved over the stove to make food for my older woman.” He chuckled.
“I see it amuses you that I’m older.” Kaitya sounded closer.
She slid her hand along his back. He pressed into her touch. Turning his head, he looked into her eyes. She lifted her head and he met her, kissing her gently. She made a humming sound then pulled back.
“I see you have your supposed control in place.”
“And from your expression, you’re going to do everything to break it.”
“You betcha, buddy.” She patted his back then went to island and sat on a high-backed stool.
Fyodor chuckled and returned to putting food on the plate. After it was fixed, he set it down then asked, “What do you want to drink?”
“Some iced tea, if you have it.”
“Sure I do.” He went to the fridge to get it then grabbed two glasses.
He set it on the counter between them then took a seat beside her. When he did, Kaitya placed her hand on his thigh. Fyodor stilled then breathed in. That was a mistake, as her scent of wild winds and rain filled him.
“Are you trying to seduce me?”
“You’d know it if I was,” Kaitya said then looked deliberately at her hand on his leg then his face. “Is this bothering you? I did tell you I would touch you when I wanted to.”
“It is fine.” He picked up his fork. “Tell me about your day.”
“I will later.” Kaitya lifted her utensil too. “But first I want to hear about yours—where you went and the Shadowers you visited. I want to know that every time you go somewhere.”
“Why?”
“I need to know the people of my bond shadow.” Her answer pleased him and he filled her in.

Ink Motions - Interview
How do you get an idea for your novel?
My “plot bunnies” come from many different directions. When I am in paranormal romance mode, I might be inspired by a character from mythology or wonder what it might be like to possess supernatural powers. However, I would say my stories always begin with the main couple. I envision my hero and heroine and try to come up with characters who will have great friction between them, as well as tremendous chemistry.
What is your writing style? Do you just sit down and write or do you create
Bums in seats does it every time for me. For the most part, I create a loose outline, I note which events need to occur, and I write. I don’t worry too much about style until I go back and edit. I think my voice is rather natural anyway, and I don’t tend to get too flowery.
Who is the "Writing Muse" in your life? I.E. who gets your juices flowing?
That’s a great question, but I wouldn’t say I have one muse. I might draw inspiration from a face I see in the crowd, a photo or a work of art. However, for the most part, I’m motivated by the crazy voices in my head. A character occurs to me and I find I just need to tell his or her story. I guess you could say I’ve capitalized on the deranged dialogue inside my head.
How many novels have you written including all work in progresses you are currently working on?
(Counts on fingers) Let’s see. I’ve published 11 romances, as well as 2 anthologies with my fellow authors from the Love, Lust and Laptops blog. I have two contemporaries coming out in the next few months. The Stand-In will be published by Liquid Silver Books in February, and Vice will be published by Samhain Publishing summer 2015. And I have several more on the go!
Who is your "writing idol"? I.E. Who do you like and what is it about their writing that captures your soul?
Kudos to the marvelous Diana Gabaldon, my all-time favorite, for her attention to detail and ability to create the sexiest hero of all time. However, I also love L. Marie Adeline, Karen Robards and Meg Cabot for creating such fun worlds.
What is you favorite plot line type?
One that keeps the reader guessing, no matter the genre. Any author who can keep me turning pages by amping up the suspense is fine by me.
Is there any advice you can offer to anyone who would like to write?
Learn everything you can, absorb what the experts have done, but be true to your own voice. Your voice will never let you down.
What is a good villain?
Ooh, one of my favorite topics. A villain, in my opinion, should be capable of great magnetism. After all, no one is completely black or white. Our villains should be a little conflicted, they should show potential for goodness, just as our heroes can often possess a bit of darkness. This dichotomy is what makes them so appealing. You want to hate them, but also want to redeem them.
Blurb:
When Nina Suzuki discovers the body of her best friend Janine, her world turns upside down. Things go from bad to worse when Janine’s corpse seems to transform into that of a large, brown wolf. For the first time, Nina is faced to confront all the clues indicating her BFF was not what she seemed. A letter from the dead woman opens Nina’s eyes to a strange, new world. The same letter warns of a sinister group called the Alpha Brethren, and urges her to find Killian Moon of the Ursa Fishing Lodge and Resort on Gemini Island.
Killian Moon is a jaguar shifter and teen mentor at the Ursa Lodge in Northern Ontario. He may be a comfort and inspiration to confused teen shifters, but he also has a fiery past. His past comes back to haunt him when human Nina arrives at the resort, demanding to speak with him. Demanding answers. Can he trust her with knowledge that will not only change her life, but possibly endanger those around him?
As Killian begrudgingly tutors Nina on all things shifter, their mutual curiosity flares into passionate need. Once they touch, once they succumb to desire, there is no going back. Killian realizes Nina is his mate and they both begin to comprehend the terror threatening those on their shifter-friendly island. He is forced to confront the tragedy in his family and determines to protect Nina at all costs.
But can they protect everyone they love from a cult of dangerous shifters, intent on horror and destruction?
Excerpt:
“How much longer do I have to wait? I want to see Killian Moon. Now.”
The feminine voice, strangely soft despite its insistence, echoed deep in his being, awakening his jaguar. The great cat roared to life, turned toward the office and inhaled deeply. Its eyes flashed in interest.
In...recognition?
Killian breathed in at the same time, catching the scent of cherry blossoms through the door. The sweet perfume, mixed with human outrage, proved a heady distraction, making him forget why he was there. Shaking his head, he tried to dismiss the odd sensation as Ryland opened the door.
The door swung open and the first person he glimpsed was one of the clerks from reception, trying his hardest to placate the unexpected guest. “I’m sure Mr. Snow and Mr. Moon will be right back.”
And then his gaze landed on the petite human. Tapered Asian eyes, so dark and mysterious, but rimmed with circles of exhaustion. Smooth, cinnamon skin hinted at a mixed background. Wearing no makeup, she appeared younger than she must be, but her presence and keen eyes pegged her at around thirty years old. She had a riot of curly, black hair and feminine curves that ought to come with a warning. He could see it now. Beware: this woman’s body will cause insanity in men. Even as she gesticulated at the clerk, her boobs jiggled in such a way his throat went dry.
He pictured her in a corset, her breasts spilling over delicate lace edging, and almost forgot his name.
This Nina Suzuki was damn hot and his jaguar seemed to agree. The animal licked its lips, its golden gaze assessing and appreciating every detail, from her rounded hips to her come-hither rack.
Yes, the creature uttered on a frenzied breath.

Between the Covers – Firestorm Encounters
Here is a excerpt from Firestorm Encounters (Phoenix Intelligence Agency, Book # 5). Enjoy.
Fyodor shimmered into Kaitya’s office. He nodded at the guards and they took their leave. Turning, he held back a smile as he saw the look on her face. Kaitya’s eyes were narrowed and she crossed her arms over her chest where she sat behind her desk.
“Before you yell at me for being overprotective and that you can take care of yourself, I need to do something.” He went to her.
Kaitya rose, her brow wrinkled. “What—?”
He pulled her to him and kissed her. Kaitya tensed briefly then she opened up. At the first taste of her, passion flared through him and he had to have her. Kaitya gripped his shoulder and moaned. Coming back to his senses, Fyodor slowly and reluctantly pulled away. Unable to resist, he kissed her gently once more then stepped back.
“Now you can yell at me.” He smiled.
Kaitya’s passion-glazed gaze cleared then she narrowed her eyes. “After a kiss like that, you want me to talk, much less yell?”
“Note to self, kissing will make Kaitya more agreeable to what you want.”
“Note to Fyodor’s self, don’t bet on it.” Kaitya snorted. “I can yell at you later. Kiss me again.”
“If I kiss you again, I’ll take you. Let me get a little control first then I’ll be happy to kiss you.” Fyodor wet his lips.
“And I’m not disagreeing with having you do that.” Kaitya stared at his lips. “Hell, I’m ready for it.”

Ink Motions with Valentina Heart
Valentina Heart lives in different locations in Split, at the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Like the directions of her stories, her life takes a new twist with every passing year, and she welcomes every single one.
As an avid reader for many years, she had a habit of mixing fiction with reality, until she realized she could simply breathe life to her characters and make them as real as they could get. From forever romantic to deeply troubled, they bring joy to their creator, just as they sometimes bring frustration with their naughty behavior.
Kinky imagination aside, she enjoys music and movies just as much as reading, but give her summer all year round and she'll be ready to free-climb, swim, or stretch in all those mind-stirring yoga positions.

Ink Motions - Interview
How do you get an idea for your novel?
Danny and Mike was actually my first book. At the time I had trouble finding a lot of m/m stories with a similar subject (I could have pretty much listed the number of authors off the top of my head) and I figured I could write something of my own. As a first one, Danny and Mike is full of little details I’d wanted to see in a book but it’s really not something I could see myself writing about now.
Usually I get ideas everywhere. Books, movies, TV shows, but sometimes I’ll just take some time, sit down, and think about the plot until it all lines up in my head.
What is your writing style? Do you just sit down and write or do you create
I guess it depends on the book. For Mending the Rift series I pretty much only had a vague idea in my head and I started writing about it. That’s how the first book in the series came about. But the next two were both outlined and stressed over, probably more than my other books.
Who is the "Writing Muse" in your life? I.E. who gets your juices flowing when
I don’t think I have one. As a rather solitary person, I spend a lot of time with my own thoughts. It’s amazing how many things you can get up to when there’s no one around to keep you in check lol
How many novels have you written including all work in progresses you are currently working on?
Omg, okay. There have been thirteen published stories, three short and free ones written for a Goodreads group, one finished but not sent to the publisher as of yet and about eight WIPs I see actually going somewhere.
Who is your "writing idol"? I.E. Who do you like and what is it about there writing that captures your soul?
There are actually a lot of authors I like and whose books speak to me in a way. Of course that doesn’t mean I could ever write like them. I guess all of us have our own style and it’s really not something you can escape from.
My first instinct, without a lot of thought, tells me to go with Laurell K. Hamilton. She has a certain motion in her books, where there’s never a quiet period and all the characters and the plot are constantly moving along. I love her strong MCs as well as how there’s never just a typical ‘boy meets girl’ charm to it, but rather all the unconventional pairings you can think of.
What is you favorite plot line type?
Well, my books are all pretty much along the lines of ‘boy meets boy’. I write romance and that’s probably the only set guideline – you have to have a solid romance with a preferable HEA. Now my stories are all very diverse. I tend to go from one extreme to the next and I can’t say I’m afraid to write about sex, incest, rape. Instead I prefer to push at the boundaries and see where it gets me.
One thing that does seem to be a constant is my penchant for shifters. I’ve written a few books on the subject already, but I still have a few started or just teasing at me. It’s slowly becoming an addiction.
Is there any advice you can offer to anyone who would like to write?
My advice would be to persist at it. But that goes in most situations life throws at us. If you really want something you have to give it your best, even when you feel there’s nothing else to give.
What is a good villain?
Probably someone who makes you hate him with every turned page lol When I’m reading a book, I like the bad guys who are smart and a bit evil. I can dislike them all I want, but if I’m afraid for the MCs in the middle of the book because of that bad guy it usually means the author did their job. Still, I do prefer MCs who are a bit naughty, a bit rude and in general have that ‘bad boy’ vibe instead of an evil genius set on destroying lives.
"When are you leaving?" I asked him with my back turned.
"Not for a few hours still. Danny, look at me."
I didn't really want to. He could read my face like a picture book, and there were some things I wanted to hide. But turn I did, and when I looked into his warm, caring eyes, I realized they hadn't changed. He still looked at me the same, and he was still the same guy.
"You're the only one I want. There's no need for jealousy."
I knew he was right, of course, but I still couldn't help myself. I was deadly afraid that he would leave me, and there was nothing in the world that could dissuade me from it. "I can't help it. There's so many things running through my head right now, and I can't help the way I feel about it."
"Okay, we can work with that. Tell me what's bothering you, and I'll help you through it. Just be honest."
It wasn't an ideal situation, certainly not something I was thrilled to talk about, but I didn't see a different solution to solving our disagreement, so talking it was. "You say you're attracted to women, too. How do I know you won't pick her over me?"
He looked dumbstruck for a moment and his expression almost made me laugh. It wasn't a look I saw on his face often.
"The same way you know I won't pick any other man instead of you. There's no choice for me anymore. It's you or no one. You're the one I fell in love with, and it doesn't matter how handsome someone else is, they can't measure up to you, sweets." He pointed to his groin. "This is what you do to me every time I see you. I want you more than I've ever wanted anyone else in my life. You're the only one who leaves me speechless, horny, and head over heels in love.
Believe in your worth."
Blurb
Sometimes love can be found in the most unlikely places, or so Danny discovers once he finds himself in a bar brawl. With a life of abuse behind him, he's more than ready for a new, happier start and Mike seems to be exactly what his damaged soul needs.
With a completely different background, Mike is close to a ray of sunshine. Always optimistic and happy, he anchors Danny and shows him life can be about love instead of hate.
But chapters of the past are rarely completely closed, and once Danny's nightmares come back into his life he has to make a choice—to fight or to save the one who showed him life is worth living.

Between the Covers – Indigo Rain
Here is a excerpt from Indigo Rain (Phoenix Intelligence Agency, Book # 1). Enjoy.
Her heart raced, although it wasn’t his eyes’ colour that caught her. No, it was the look of cool calculation in his stare. Struggling to breathe, she heard someone come up behind her. She turned slightly to see Christos come in but still kept the man in her line of sight. Kalina flicked her hand, materialising her baton.
Seeing Christos’ expressionless face, she said coldly, “I’m not working with him.”
“Why not? I’ve never even met you.” The man spoke with a smooth, sweet baritone tickling along her senses.
Kalina gave the man resting on the wall her whole attention. “Because you’re a fucking Firebird.”
“You’re a fucking Amazonian Warrior. I should be the one who doesn’t want to work with you.” He shrugged. “And I don’t have a problem with it.”
Kalina stiffened at the insult. She narrowed her eyes, seeing him quirk his lips in response. She tightened her grip on her baton, she thought of throwing it. She marked the place where she wanted to plant it, Kalina stilled herself, trying to calm down. The man, seeing her intent, smirked and she moved her hand before her brain registered the motion. She flung the baton with all her power. He never changed expression as his hand flashed out and caught it with apparent ease. He looked at the baton, then back at her.
“Kalina!” Christos hissed.
Refusing to look at Christos, she kept her attention on the man.
“Leave us,” he ordered without looking at Christos.
With surprise, she heard Christos back out and leave without a word. She’d never known the director to defer to anyone. She stood silently as he flowed in the boneless motion only shifters possessed. He came to stand right in front of her, and Kalina refused to look away from his calm gaze.
“Do you know who I am?” The purr in his voice had a challenging lilt.
Kalina stiffened, saying nothing. She knew who he was, although she had gone out of her way to not get anywhere near him. The man shot a hand out, gripping her chin before she could move.
He remained focused on her, a slight smile on his face. “Say my name, Kalina.”
She refused to give him the satisfaction.
His indigo eyes lit with flames. “Ah, a stubborn one. I like stubborn women.”
Kalina jerked away and glared at him in contempt. “No one told me Ryne Garon thought with his cock.”
The man chuckled. “So, you do know my name.” He leaned into her. “I don’t think with my cock. If I did, I would have you across the table with my dick buried deep inside of you by now. So deep your nails would make me bloody. ” He shrugged. “Then again, I just might do that.”
Kalina stilled the shudder of lust that filled her.
He won’t fool me. It doesn’t matter that being near him turns me on.
