Today's Between the Covers is an excerpt from my book.

“No.” Blake said. “Not interested.”

“But I haven’t asked anything yet.” He smiled charmingly.

“No being charming or sexy.” Blake said.

“You think I am sexy.” He smiled wider and prowled closer. “Tell me more.”

“Nothing to tell.” Blake refused to back up. “By the way you do know it’s cold right. Dressing like that,” She gestured to his pale grey jogging shorts and t-shirt. “Isn’t very smart. And I know I didn’t see you running so not even sure why you are dressed for it.”

“I could say that I am hot-blooded but that is too cliché,” He winked then came even closer. “Besides it’s balmy today.”

Blake narrowed her eyes then rubbed her thumb and index finger down her nose before saying.  “Balmy. He said balmy.”

“What is wrong with balmy? That is what it is.” Luciano looked confused.

Blake sighed then educated him. “Balmy is when something is pleasantly warm. This although nice; isn’t that so to use balmy isn’t correct.”

Luciano smiled. “Ok so you don’t like the word balmy.”

“I have no problem with the word, if it is used the correct way.” Blake retorted.

“Ok…”

“You think you are smart trying to get my name.” Blake lifted an eyebrow.

“It’s just a name.”

“Some say names have power.”

“True. But resistance is also futile.”

Blake blinked then smiled. “You didn’t just quote Star Trek to me?”

“Yes.” He smiled sheepishly. “Movies are a thing of mine.”

“Me too. Have you ever seen Andromeda?”

“Yes. Enjoyed it immensely.”

“You did…” She rocked back on her heels. “How do I know you aren’t just saying that to make me intrigued by you?”

Luciano scoffed. “You already are.”

Ink Motions ~ The Cove

Had a deadline so didn't get t0 finish my  reread of The Cove by Catherine Coulter.

I've been rereading some of my favorite books. This is An FBI Thriller Series. This is a really great series which I enjoy it. Each time it captures me and I love it.

Also there are alot in the series so I will be working my way through them. :)

Another book on my keeper shelf. I have 2 copies one in print and one in e-book. :)

Now back to reading.

It’s release day and I’m excited. Today my newest release is part of Sariah Wilson’s Kindle Worlds – The Royals of Monterra.

I also have story, a small one, I promise on why I’ve written in the Kindle World. I’m an avid reader and some of the first romances I read were Harlequin Presents. When I think of them they bring back fond memories. They are sweet romances and I loved them. Still read them from time to time. My big sister still does. And they remind me of my mom. We had many discussions about them. These books in this world are for my mom and big sister. The books are a sweet romance.

Today's Between the Covers is an excerpt from my book.

Here is a excerpt from Indigo Rain (Phoenix Intelligence Agency, Book # 1). Enjoy.

Her heart raced, although it wasn’t his eyes’ colour that caught her. No, it was the look of cool calculation in his stare. Struggling to breathe, she heard someone come up behind her. She turned slightly to see Christos come in but still kept the man in her line of sight. Kalina flicked her hand, materialising her baton.

Seeing Christos’ expressionless face, she said coldly, “I’m not working with him.”

“Why not? I’ve never even met you.” The man spoke with a smooth, sweet baritone tickling along her senses.

Kalina gave the man resting on the wall her whole attention. “Because you’re a fucking Firebird.”

“You’re a fucking Amazonian Warrior. I should be the one who doesn’t want to work with you.” He shrugged. “And I don’t have a problem with it.”

Kalina stiffened at the insult. She narrowed her eyes, seeing him quirk his lips in response. She tightened her grip on her baton, she thought of throwing it. She marked the place where she wanted to plant it, Kalina stilled herself, trying to calm down. The man, seeing her intent, smirked and she moved her hand before her brain registered the motion. She flung the baton with all her power. He never changed expression as his hand flashed out and caught it with apparent ease. He looked at the baton, then back at her.

“Kalina!” Christos hissed.

Refusing to look at Christos, she kept her attention on the man.

“Leave us,” he ordered without looking at Christos.

With surprise, she heard Christos back out and leave without a word. She’d never known the director to defer to anyone. She stood silently as he flowed in the boneless motion only shifters possessed. He came to stand right in front of her, and Kalina refused to look away from his calm gaze.

“Do you know who I am?” The purr in his voice had a challenging lilt.

Kalina stiffened, saying nothing. She knew who he was, although she had gone out of her way to not get anywhere near him. The man shot a hand out, gripping her chin before she could move.

He remained focused on her, a slight smile on his face. “Say my name, Kalina.”

She refused to give him the satisfaction.

His indigo eyes lit with flames. “Ah, a stubborn one. I like stubborn women.”

Kalina jerked away and glared at him in contempt. “No one told me Ryne Garon thought with his cock.”

The man chuckled. “So, you do know my name.” He leaned into her. “I don’t think with my cock. If I did, I would have you across the table with my dick buried deep inside of you by now. So deep your nails would make me bloody. ” He shrugged. “Then again, I just might do that.”

Kalina stilled the shudder of lust that filled her.

He won’t fool me. It doesn’t matter that being near him turns me on.

Monday Adventure ~ Dreams

Monday Adventure starts with oh so blissful sleep. Then lead to me dreaming.

When I sleep there are time I don't dream at all. Then there are times I dream so vividly I wake up and it is as if it happened to me. :)

Some of my best story ideas I have come from dreams. For example my Rarities Incorporated Series. :)

This is also the case with the book I have been working on and the next one that I will be working on afterward. Both these books (they are each part of a new series. Separate series so 2 new series) came to me in dreams. And maybe that is why I had the dream I did. A very vivid one that is about the book I am working on now. I can't go into details about my dream since I haven't given any details about these upcoming series. I'm going to reveal it sort of soon. :)

So anyway this dream was so vivid and when I woke I was like whew. Yeah this is going to be good really good. Of course I had to scramble and get out my notebook to make sure I wrote all of what I dreamed down. :) Love when I have dreams like this. And I'm so looking forward to sharing it with you when I announce the books. :)
