Thanksgiving and What’s Happening
Had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Ate to much, saw a lot of friends and family. Hey did I mention I ate to much. LOL. I'm still feeling my overindulgence even now.
I wasn't totally lazy I finished my book. Sorry for those of you who have been waiting, It isn't Immortal Blossom: Bonded but that will not be to far behind. My new book has been submitted to my publisher. I'll let you know how it goes.
I have a few announcements coming about my newsletter Passionate Gazette.

Weekends ~ Time and family
I love weekends I spend the time just relaxing and doing things I don’t usually get done during the week. Today is a holiday from the day job and I love that it is a long weekend. I had Friday off also. My sister and niece came over and spent the day with me. It was fun and we talked and laughed. My niece who is so cute was all over the place. She likes to do what I call searching the house. She opens everything and checks it out. Thank goodness I don’t have any weird things low enough for her to find. LOL.
What do you do with your weekends?

Ready, set, organize…
Shoot the long weekend is almost over and I can’t tell you where it went. LOL. I emptied out my file in my office and am going through them to organize it a little. Shoot I found things in there I forgot I had. Since it is heading for the end of the year I want to be organized for next year. I try to check my files and archive what I don’t need. I try to not throw things out as I may need them later.
How do you organize? What do you do with the things you no longer need?

Reviews ~ Immortal Blossom: Awakening
I just got word on a review that was posted about my book Immortal Blossom: Awakening.
Four angels from Fallen Angel Reviews, here’s what Tewanda had to say…
Taige Crenshaw’s Immortal Blossom: Awakening is the story of a woman finding the power within herself to go after what she wants. Shay has been hurt in the past and is reluctant to risk her tender heart on Mikhail. The attraction and passion between the two is an unstoppable force. I enjoyed that Shay was a woman who was able to take control of all aspects of her life.

Thanks Tewanda!
I also found this other review but forgot to post about it:
Four Blue Ribbons from Romance Junkies, here’s what Angel had to say…
This is the first book I have read by Taige Crenshaw and I think her imaginative tale is fantastic. Shay is a businesswoman trying to make a success of her flower shop; problem is she keeps getting side tracked by those pesky fantasies of Mikhail. Mikhail is tall dark and totally sexy, just the description of his intense gaze will melt you to your seat. Love scenes are wonderfully erotic with plenty of heat to keep the reader happy. I will certainly be on the lookout for more of Taige Crenshaw’s work in the future.

Bliss: Desired Silence
This always seems to happen to me and wondered if it happens to other.
When you’re right in the middle of a really intense scene in a book. I mean it is heart pounding, sweaty and you’re at the edge of your seat. Then wham the phone rings or someone talks to you yanking you right out of it. Oyy. That happened to me today. Not once but 3 times damn it. The first time I was reading JD Robb’s book Glory in Death (I’m rereading the series again. I love the series) and just as I reached the pivotal part the phone rang. It frightened me so bad I threw the book up in the air. Since my phone rarely rings I was annoyed. I picked it up and tried to answer pleasantly but I can’t tell you if I succeeded or not. I’m sure you guessed it already who was on the other end of the phone. A TELEMARKETER. Since I know they are only doing there job I was okay I tried to be polite and told them not interested and they kept going on and on. I hung up and went and got my book.
So I started reading again and was back into the book when … you guessed it the phone rang again. This time I at least kept my book in hand and answered the phone all the while I was thinking was I Verizon or what. And I’m sure you know what I am about to say. It was another TELEMARKETER. I didn’t even try to listen I hung up. By this time I was so annoyed I put the book down and booted up my computer. After surfing the web, checking email and such. I calmed down a bit and decided to do some writing. I was writing a really hot sexual scene in Immortal Blossom: Bonded and it was going at a fast clip when you guessed it the phone rang again. After a little round of cursing (which I don’t usually do) I picked up the phone. And this time I’ll admit I answered very rude.
To my chagrin it was one of my sister calling me from long distance. The first words out of her mouth was you’re writing aren’t you. Sheepish I said yes. She told me to call her later and hung up before I could reply. I hung up and started to get back into my scene but then I thought about it, stopped and took the phone off the hook.
Achieved. Silence.

I’m Mikhail A’do Nis and it’s wonderful to be here. Since my creator Taige didn’t invite me to her blog. I invited myself. I decided I wanted to post and I have my ways of getting what I go after…
I’m sure you’re curious about me. So I’m here to clear up a few things. The question of what I am has been raised and well {chuckling wickedly} I’m more than any of you can imagine. But let’s get down to facts. I’m about to share with you something that not even Shay knows… I am K…
Damn it Taige back off …. Let me have my say… Ah hell I’ve got to go Taige and Shay are ganging up on me… We’ll actually Shay is beckoning me… I’ll see what she wants and come back later… maybe…
Harcrena { good night in my language}.

Still hectic
Work is still hectic but I am managing. I’m not to far from the end of Immortal Blossom: Bonded and I’ve already started writing a couple of scenes in the next Immortal Blossom book. I can’t wait to finish IB: Bonded. There was so much happening in the book and Shay got a few interesting surprises. Yeah I know I’m wicked to tease you. You’ll have to read the book to find out what happened. I’m shamelessly plugging the book before it even comes out. LOL.

Come and Gone
Well my b-day has come and gone for a little while now. Also my relatives have left. The house was empty when they left. And work has gotten crazy busy. I started working on Immortal Blossom: Bonded and was making good headway when it got so busy at work. Damn. It still hasn’t slowed down. And I was almost finished with the book. I’m writing but not as much as I want to.

My Birthday ~ August 2006
In August I celebrate my birthday. Yippeeee!!!! I enjoy my b-day. My relatives will be leaving on the day of my b-day and although it sucks we plan to get together with at my sister who lives in NY also to celebrate before. Since my b-day falls on a Sunday I took the Monday after my b-day off. I’m planning to be lazy and rest. Since my family was here I’ve been taking a break from my writing but when they leave I plan to get back into to it. I have the next Immortal Blossom book to finish. It’s called Immortal Blossom: Bonded. I will post an excerpt when I have it completed. I heard from my publisher Immortal Blossom: Awakening is doing well. I’m overjoyed.
For those of you in my newsletter group and chat group I’m sorry that I haven’t been around. After things slow down a bit I will be back to posting. My next issue of Passionate Gazette my newsletter will be posted on October 15, 2006. I usually post the newsletter around the 15th of the month.
Heading out to do a little shopping with the relatives. Power shop here I come. Whooo Hooo. Catch you later.

Build a Bear/Friends 2B Made ~ A fun place
I went out and did the tourist thing with my visiting relatives. We went to Build A Bear workshop and let me tell you it was a blast. If you’ve never been there you need to go. It was a blast. I think I had more fun than the kids. Heh, heh. I loved helping them pick out there stuffed animals then my favorite part dressing them up. LOL. Then the best part was I went into the sister shop which was right next door called Friends 2B Made and a I made a friend of my own. I dressed her in this wonderful sweat suit. And I named her to. The joy on my face was as bright as on my nieces and nephew’s.
Going on another tourist things. Feet don’t fail me now. LOL. See you later.

Busy, Busy
I’ve been busy, busy. I have family visiting and you know how it goes. You have to go and do the tourist thing and show them around. It’s been a crazy month and I am burnt out. LOL.
The one good thing is I got to see a lot of things I don’t normally go to. We went to the NY Aquarium, Bronx Zoo, and American Museum of Natural History and so on and so on. I had so much fun even though after each place my feet felt like they would drop off. But it was worth it to see the joy on my nieces and nephew’s face.
Off to do the tourist things again. Oh my aching feet. LOL. See you later.

Immortal Blossom: Awakening ~Available Now~ June 19, 2006
It’s here. My book Immortal Blossom: Awakening is available now at Ocean’s Mist Press. I’m so excited I don’t know what to do. Yippeee!!!!
Here is the blurb:
Immortal Blossom: Awakening
Published by Ocean’s Mist Press
© Copyright Taige Crenshaw, 2006. All Rights Reserved
Shay Coles knows the closest she will get to having Mikhail A’do Nis is in her nightly erotic dreams. The fantasies she has are better than any reality she has ever experienced anyway. No way would she dare take the chance of getting close to Mikhail. It doesn’t matter that her senses go haywire whenever he is near or her body prepares for sensual delight. The unruly urges of her body don’t rule what she does… at least until a very special gift lowers all her inhibitions.
Let the awakening of Shay Coles begin….

What have I been up to….
We’ll It’s been a while. And I’ve been writing and writing my little fingers out. LOL. Usually when Mikayla - my muse - is ready to write, I make sure and do as she says or she makes me suffer the consequences. And let me tell you those circumstances terrify me. So writing is what I have been doing. I’m going along at a fast pace in a few of my projects. And not only fast but also so far it seems to make sense. I’m resisting going back and doing any edits until I am through. Yeah It’s driving me nuts but Mikayla - my muse - is screaming at me to keep going forward. If she wasn’t giving me such great writing I would tell her blow it out her ear {wincing hoping she didn’t hear}.
The current issue of my newsletter Passionate Gazette was posted last night. If you haven’t signed up. Gasp I am shocked and why haven’t you. Go to Sign Up (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/passionategazette) so you can correct what must be huge mistake. LOL.
I am still planning on sharing my Reader’s Gold (for what I mean check here) with you. I’m working out a few things that I hope will make it more fun and intersting. Hmmm… is there anything else I need to share.
Oh yeah I did something I haven’t done in a while. My very own little guilty pleasure. Are you ready o hear it?
I went to the movies. I know to some people that doesn’t seem like a guilty pleasure but to me it is. Since I don’t get to go as often as I would like and I feel guilty that I was in movies instead of writing. Hence it is my guilty pleasure. I also went to eat. I saw Take the Lead and I enjoyed it. As usual I think Antonio Banderas was very sexy. Ever since I saw him in Desperado I thought he was sexy. I’m not saying all his movies are good just that he is good to look at. LOL. I plan to go more often.
Well I think that’s it at least for now.

Reader Gold - Series/Serials ~ the nity gritty
Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about series and serials. What they are and how I feel about them. There are so many books coming out each month and a lot of them are part of a series/serial.
First here are my definitions of them both:
Series ~ Taige Crenshaw Definition:
Novels that has a related story theme but each one is complete in and of itself.
Serial ~ Taige Crenshaw Definition:
Novels that feature/follows the same main character/s yet are still a fresh story each time.
No matter which way you slice it I find whether it is a serial or series I enjoy writing stories like this. It gives me room to stretch my mind, push my characters to give me more and wallow in there adventure even more. Although I enjoy these stories I don’t usually start writing with the intention of it being a series/serial sometimes it just happens to evolve that way.
I write what I love to read and I’m one of those readers that wondered what is next for such and such main character. Or what happened to this sub - character that I liked in this or that novel. I go hunting to find more and when I find it I feel like I’ve struck READER’S GOLD. I jump up and down and shout in glee. LOL.
I remember an instance where I picked up an author that I hadn’t tried before. The novel was great and imagine my glee that I struck reader gold and it was a series. I went back and bought all of there novels except one it was sold out. I searched and searched for years for this one book and couldn’t find a copy. Not even a used one. I even contacted the author to find out if the story was going to be re-printed. To my dismay it wasn’t at that time. Amazon even had over 200 people waiting for a copy of this book when I checked. I stopped checking the numbers after I saw the amount of people. No one was selling. Last year I struck reader gold when the book was reprinted and I was able to finish my collection. I know me and over 199 other people very happy.
As my thought’s of Reader’s Gold evolved I decided that I would share here in my blog with you some author’s who have some wonderful series/serials that I feel are Reader’s Gold. Everyone should have a little Reader’s Gold on there book shelf.
Can you imagine so many readers looking for an author. Searching for that Reader’s Gold. That is what I want my novels to be to my current and future readers ~ Reader’s Gold. No I don’t want you the reader to wait a long time for my books but I want you to be so drawn into the worlds that I create you can’t wait to see what happens next.
Who are some author’s that are your Reader’s Gold and why?

Can you imagine so many readers looking for an author. Searching for that Reader’s Gold. That is what I want my novels to be to my current and future readers ~ Reader’s Gold. No I don’t want you the reader to wait a long time for my books but I want you to be so drawn into the worlds that I create you can’t wait to see what happens next.
Who are some author’s that are your Reader’s Gold and why?
Taige

Lacking of afterglow
No I don’t mean that kind. Shoot I wish it was that kind I was referring to. LOL.
I didn’t get to experience the afterglow of getting my first book contract (read here for my gushing post) before reality struck. The reality of a nasty flu I like to call – pain in my rear. Yep Mr/Ms Flu (yep it keep changing genders on me) came in an took up residence in my head, chest and throat. I even lost my voice (damn it and I like to talk to LOL). My friends and co- workers are cruel and teased me mercilessly. As I went through my misery I realized that every time I coughed on the subway on the way to work (yeah I went to work I’m such a dutiful employee. Yeah right.) I had a chorus. Picture it I would start then the man two seats down would join in then the lady across the aisle would chime in. Heck we had a chorus going.
Shoot at work at my desk was no better. I would start then my neighbor over the wall would add her two cents of coughing, and next the other co-worker across the room would join in. It was a symphony of sound. Coughing in surround sound if you will.
Oh the music of it.
You probably think I’ve lost it. And you know what you’re maybe right. This is what being holed up in bed without any internet access will do to you folks. Make you start making up weird forms of music to entertain yourself. Thank goodness I’m feeling better. Still coughing but I’m slowly bowing out of the symphony. LOL.
And just in time to. I’ve gotten some forms from my new publisher (god I love saying that) on my newly contracted book (saying it five times fast it gets better with each one LOL) Immortal Blossom: Awakening. I got a giddy feeling reading about art for my cover and other author stuff. LOL.
Oh my it really happened and wasn’t my own vivid imagination. I think I need to go and lay down.

1St Publication Contracted ~ Immortal Blossom: Awakenings
I am excited to announce that I have accepted a contract for publication of my novel. The novel is called Immortal Blossom: Awakening and it will be published by Ocean’s Mist Press. I don’t have any details on release date or such yet but I will keep you advised as I do. This novel is the hush, hush project I have been working on. I had previously written this story as an exclusive story to my groups but I loved it so much I made lots of changes, made it a novel and submitted it. Immortal Blossom: Awakening is actually the first in a series. As I get more details on the publication of Immortal Blossom: Awakening I will let you know.
For now I am working on Immortal Blossom: Bonded the second in the in the Immortal Blossom series. In it Shay will be getting a few shocks from Mikhail. I will be also working with an editor to get the first - Immortal Blossom: Awakening - in the series ready for publication.
I’m also working on Blood Oath Hunters : Pleasure’s Kiss it is almost ready to be submitted to a publisher.
I’ve just posted the January 2006 Issue of the Taige Crenshaw Newsletter – strong>Passionate Gazette. If you want to receive the newsletter sign up here http://groups.yahoo.com/group/passionategazette.
